Qualifications of Hyundai & Mazda Service Writer.
- This role requires handling many customers and dealing with their priorities.
- You should be the friendliest, most professional person our customers interact with in their day.
- Requires solid communication and follow-up throughout the day, while turning "Customers" into "Customers for Life".
- The position requires a detailed oriented person.
- Ability to sell needed services and overcome objections. You must be able to diffuse tricky customer situations, help the customer feel understood & valued
- Ability to use computer technology and type FASTS. We have the saying at G&G: If it's not written down in the system notes...then it didn't happen!
- Ability to multi-task. You will have multiple phone calls and customers in front of you throughout the day.
- Strong verbal communication skills. Bilingual abilities are a big plus but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting customers and providing excellent, friendly customer service every day. You are the first person customers will see when they walk in our place of business.
- Setting appointments for routing service work
- Proactively following up with customers to keep schedule full and avoid missed appointments.
- Building complete estimates for work recommended by technicians.
- Communicating repair costs to customers and obtaining their approval prior to beginning work.
- Effectively updating the customer for the timeline of the repairs and document repair and maintenance on the repair order.
- Processing payment from the customer after the repair is complete and the vehicle is delivered.
- Managing our fleet of loaner vehicles to ensure availability for customers.
